The Council for the Arts at MIT sponsors free, same-day general admission and special exhibit tickets for MIT students, faculty, and staff with a valid MIT ID. Present your ID to the MFA upon entry. It is not possible to reserve free tickets online in advance.

• 1 adult receives $7 discount
• 2 adults receive $34 discount ($17/person)
• 1 adult and 1 youth save $17
• 1 adult and 2 youths save $27
• 1 adult and 3 youths save $37
• 1 adult and 4 youths save $47
• 3 youths receive $10 discount ($3.33/youth)
• 4 youths receive $20 discount ($5/youth)

There is no discount for only 1-2 youths.

FAQ:

Does the pass include entry to special exhibits?

• No, but you can purchase a special exhibit ticket for $7 when you arrive.

Can 1 adult reuse the pass for a 2nd entry on a different day?

• No, the pass must be surrendered to the MFA box office upon initial entry.

Can someone in my group leave the MFA on their own and then return the same day?

• No. The MFA states on their website that there is no re-entry. The Calderwood Courtyard (weather permitting) and the Shapiro Family Courtyard are areas where you can take a break while you are in the Museum.

Can my group split up once in the MFA?

• Yes! Once admitted, adults may split up and see the galleries on their own. Children under 12 must be under adult supervision.
