Museum of Fine Arts

**FREE FOR MIT STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF**

The Council for the Arts at MIT sponsors free general admission to the Museum of Fine Arts for all MIT students & MIT faculty/staff with a valid MIT ID. Present an MIT Student/Employee ID at the MFA ticketing desk to pick up a free, same-day general admission or special exhibition ticket. It is not possible to reserve free tickets online in advance through our University Membership.

Lincoln Laboratory employees may borrow a family pass for free. Please contact Alicia LaDuke for more details.

Passes save money even when used by just one adult! Exact savings from using a MITAC MFA pass depends on the combination of people using the pass.

Is the MITAC pass a good deal for you?

• 1 adult receives $7 discount
• 2 adults receive $34 discount ($17/person)
• 1 adult and 1 youth save $17
• 1 adult and 2 youths save $27
• 1 adult and 3 youths save $37
• 1 adult and 4 youths save $47
• 3 youths receive $10 discount ($3.33/youth)
• 4 youths receive $20 discount ($5/youth)

There is no discount for only 1-2 youths.

FAQ:

Can 1 adult reuse the pass for a 2nd entry on a different day?

• No, the pass must be surrendered to the MFA box office upon initial entry.

Can someone in my group leave the MFA on their own and then return the same day?

• No. The MFA states on their website the right now there is no re-entry. The Calderwood Courtyard (weather permitting) and the Shapiro Family Courtyard are areas where you can take a break while you are in the Museum.

Can my group split up once in the MFA?

• Yes! Once admitted, adults may split up and see the galleries on their own. Children under 12 must be under adult supervision.

Does the pass include entry to special exhibits?

• No, but you can purchase a special exhibit ticket for $7.
