Kotoko Brass feat. Mohammed Alidu

Last chance

Inspired by the traditional drum rhythms of Ghana, Kotoko Brass creates a unique, joyful, and improvisational style of West African dance music described by the Boston Globe as “propulsive, infectious party music.” Mohammed Alidu is a celebrated singer and percussionist from the Dagomba tradition of Tamale, Ghana, born into a thousand-year-old lineage of talking-drum artists. Kotoko Brass and Mohammed Alidu, accompanied by world-class Ghanaian dancers Maltiti Sadik and Saeed Kuubetesuri, celebrate the release of their collaborative new album with an evening of high-energy, percussion-fueled originals.
